Hello there! I’m Greeshma S Nair, the proud owner of Chekkottu Agencies. My journey began not just as a businesswoman with an Engineering (IT) degree and an MBA but as a passionate mother looking to feed my family the healthiest and most natural foods possible. Currently, I’m pursuing a Ph.D. in micro-level food processing units right here in Kerala, and this journey has given me a close look into the world of food production.

As I visited various manufacturing units during my research, I noticed a gap—there were so few truly organic, preservative-free options available. This struck a chord with me, especially as a mom. I wanted to create something that I could confidently give to my 6-year-old and know it was wholesome and safe. That’s how the idea for Chekkottu Agencies was born.

It all started with a simple yet powerful concept: idli/dosa batter made entirely from natural ingredients, free from any harmful additives. But my dream wasn’t just about creating great food; it was also about making a difference. I wanted to provide meaningful employment opportunities to women, creating a space where love and care go into every product we make. As a women-initiated firm, we infuse these values into our everyday work.

Listening to fellow parents, I understood their worries about preservatives in food. So, we decided to do something about it. We expanded our range to include products made from nutrient-rich ingredients like super grain millet and ragi—perfect for kids and equally loved by the whole family. With Chekkodan’s Happy Face, my goal is simple: to provide your family with the same healthy, homemade food I trust for mine.
